Our latest batch of plant-based dinnerware is fresh off the (eco-friendly) press! Made from natural materials, each EcoCubs kids dinner set is truly one of a kind. You may notice slight variations in colour or texture, this is due to natural bamboo fibres and plant starches varying from batch to batch. We think it’s pretty special- each piece is as unique as your little wild one!

DURABILITY: Our latest plant-based range is stronger than ever (tested with our own ‘throw technique’ at EcoCubs HQ!). Perfect for everyday use with kids and outdoors, but please knpow they are still not as tough as synthetic plastic or melamine. While durable, these products aren’t 100% unbreakable and need a bit more TLC- please consider if they’re right for you 🐻
END OF LIFE: When you’re done with your plant-based dinnerware, please don’t put them in regular recycling or trash. They’re made to biodegrade in compost. The best way to dispose of them is in industrial composting facilities or your backyard compost- just know it might take a bit longer to break down in home compost.

Why we love these materials
Simply put: bamboo is one of the greenest materials on the planet! It is one of the fastest growing plants in the world and yields up to 25x more than regular trees. Not only this, it grows easily without pesticides or fertilizers, absorbs carbon dioxide at higher rates AND emits 35% more oxygen than that of a similar sized tree. It truly is a wonder plant!
Combining this with the starch by-products of plants (such as corn, sweet potato, tapioca) results in a material that is carbon neutral to produce and non-toxic to our bodies and the planet. And together they are 100% biodegradable and compostable!
Why do we love them for our family?
Environment and health aside, our dinnerware is durable (bamboo is harder than maple but lighter than oak!), dishwasher, freezer and microwave safe and oh so sweet! Designed in house by us and thoroughly tested by our little bears, it is gender & age neutral and sweet & unassuming. It makes the perfect picnic accessory, caravan kit or eco gift for any bear!
