DURABILITY: Our latest plant-based range is stronger than ever (tested with our own âthrow techniqueâ at EcoCubs HQ!). Perfect for everyday use with kids and outdoors, but please knpow they are still not as tough as synthetic plastic or melamine. While durable, these products arenât 100% unbreakable and need a bit more TLC- please consider if theyâre right for you đ»
END OF LIFE: When youâre done with your plant-based dinnerware, please donât put them in regular recycling or trash. Theyâre made to biodegrade in compost. The best way to dispose of them is in industrial composting facilities or your backyard compost- just know it might take a bit longer to break down in home compost.
Why we love these materials
Why we love these materials
Simply put, bamboo is one of the planetâs most eco-friendly materials! It grows faster than most plants- yielding up to 25 times more than typical trees. Bamboo thrives without pesticides or fertilizers, absorbs more carbon dioxide, and releases about 35% more oxygen than a tree of the same size. Itâs truly a remarkable plant!
When combined with natural plant starch binders like corn, sweet potato, and tapioca, it creates a material that is carbon-neutral to produce and completely safe for both our bodies and the environment. Plus, itâs 100% biodegradable and compostable.
